We are looking for an outstanding Fitness Coach passionate about fitness, people, and changing lives. Orangetheory coaches are responsible for delivering scientifically pre-designed workouts for up to 24 members per workout. We call our trainers, coaches. Why? Our coaches are not on a stage leading a class, they are hands on, working with members, like a personal trainer but able to have a greater impact on more people at once. An Orangetheory coach must focus on a well-rounded theory of fitness, including endurance, strength, and power, using the tools given to optimize the client’s experience and results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver pre-designed workouts to groups of up to 24 members
- Be inspiring! Need high energy and passion for exercise
- Ensure safety of participants in regard to heart rate and exercise technique
- Modify specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels and existing injuries
- Be able to coach a large population of skill sets from new to exercise to high level athletes
- Work with sales team to create a seamless experience for signing up members
- Attend monthly fitness staff meetings and required educational presentations
- Handle member concerns when applicable
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels
- Must hold current fitness certification from an Orangetheory approved education company such as CanFitPro, CSEP, NSCA, NASM or NFPT
- Bachelor’s degree in an exercise related field is an asset – Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology and Fitness and Health Promotion
- CPR/AED certification
- 1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility with coaching mornings, evenings and weekends

Orangetheory is a science-based, full-body workout that uses technology to measure performance so members can prove they are improving. In a 60-minute class, led by a highly trained and certified coach, members target at least twelve minutes in the Orange Zone to raise their heart rate and charge up metabolism. The result is an increase in calorie burn post-workout, backed by the science of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC). After twelve minutes of hard work in the Orange Zone, your body burns additional calories as you recover over the next 24 hours.
